アメリカ人の大半が、22歳になったら経済的に自立すべきとの考え。
だが2019年の現在、その年齢で自立しているのは24%しかいない、との調査結果。1980年は32%だった。
18歳から29歳の男性だと、52%が自立しているが、1980年の63%からは減少。
一方、同年齢の女性は1980年の38%から42%にやや増えている。
